Leaving the trail briefly, we explore the bridge above a flood control dam. Trail is underneath.

 

This often ignored walking trail starts at the parking lot of Brookside park just south of the Rosebowl and terminates at San Pascual Ave. In the course of following the Arroyo Seco stream through its natural and man-made habitat, you will be walking underneath numerous bridges, past flood control dams, through an archery range, along side horse stables and several large open areas before reaching the baseball field in the Lower Arroyo Park.

 

Estimated distance is 4.8 miles round-trip with neglible height gain.

DIRECTIONS: From the I-210 freeway, exit Seco Avenue in Pasadena and head west. Turn left and go south on North Arroyo Blvd. Park anywhere in the large parking lot of Brookside park. By foot, cross North Arroyo Blvd to the footpath alongisde the fenced-in Arroyo Seco stream. The stream is hosted by a large concrete channel.
